I just returned from a short road trip to Columbia, Mo where I was visiting my friends at Iron Tiger Tattoo. It was a fun weekend of tattooing and seeing friends, I even got to get a short dj gig in at the Sideshow! A big thanks to everyone down there for making me feel welcome. I'll be back soon to continue the work that was just started.

Off to Long Beach

I'm off to Long Beach tomorrow for the annual Ink and Iron festival for a weekend of tattooing, classic cars, and hopefully some decent music. I'll be tattooing with Brad Fink and hanging with Andy May all weekend. Monday I'm heading up to San Francisco with my old friend Brian to couch surf at his house and see what we can get into. I'll post pics and details on the return.

Here's a couple new pics of things just started or in progress, as well as one I was able to finish in a single sitting. The gypsy girl/ mysticism sleeve is on my good friend Brian who came to visit for the week from San Francisco. We go waaay back to the days of being punk little kids and have managed to stay in contact over the years. As always it was great to have him visit, this time for him to start his second tattoo (his first being a Japanese falcon and snake back piece I finished a year ago). While he was here we got the sad news that our old friend Tim Joeres had passed away while down in Guatemala this week. He will be missed by many.

Rest easy Tim.

Back from the Homeland

I'm just back from my trip home to Wisconsin and had a great time. In Madison I got to see my Mom as well as tattoo a couple old friends. On Saturday I checked out the Majestic where Mike Carlson was laying it down for his 80's vs 90's dj night, while on Sunday night Ryan O'Conner and myself spun at Jolly Bob's on Williamson. After the weekend I headed over to Milwaukee where I got hang with and tattoo a few friends that go back at least 20 years. Overall it was a blast, always good to see old friends. A big thank you to all the hospitality everyone showed me, I'll try and get back soon.

I'm headed to Madison this coming weekend and will be djing at Jolly Bob's on Williamson Sunday night, then off to Milwaukee to visit and tattoo some friends. It has been years since I was up there during warmer months and am looking forward to it. I'll post pics on the return.

I'm starting this blog as an answer to what I find lacking in my past websites, the disconnect between creating something and being able to share it . With this I hope to offer a truer account and timeline of what I'm about artistically and personally. Stop by from time to time, I'll have new tattoo and painting pics, news of travel, Dj gigs and mixes, and anything else I feel like sharing.
